U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district, has recently addressed issues ranging from health insurance costs to affordable housing and political prosecutions in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On September 25, 2025, Magaziner highlighted concerns about rising health insurance expenses and the expiration of tax credits for care affordability. He wrote, “Health insurance costs in RI are set to rise & tax credits that help people afford care will expire soon. Congress must act. I am calling for a budget that lowers health care costs while R’s push one that makes the crisis worse. We need to protect care & lower costs.”
The following day, Magaziner commented on former President Donald Trump’s reported order regarding George Soros, stating on September 26, 2025: “Donald Trump’s order to prosecute George Soros isn’t just about silencing Soros – it’s about silencing you. Here is what I mean, and what we do about it.”
Later the same day, Magaziner participated in a community event focused on affordable housing. He posted: “Excited to join @RIHousing for the ribbon cutting of the new Presley Apartments in Warwick! The former Sheraton Hotel now provides 190 much-needed homes. I will continue working to protect and expand the federal funding that makes projects like this possible.”
Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s representative since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin in Congress. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, he holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
