Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on February 4, 2026, addressing issues ranging from cancer research to clean water access and concerns about election integrity.

In recognition of World Cancer Day, Magaziner stated his ongoing commitment to healthcare and research efforts: “Today is World Cancer Day. I will always support cancer research to find cures and strong health care systems that help patients and families battling cancer.” (posted February 4, 2026).

Later that day, he highlighted the importance of clean drinking water for Rhode Islanders after meeting with a local organization: “Reliable and clean drinking water matters in every corner of our state. Today, I spoke with the Rhode Island Rural Water Association about the funding and technical support needed to deliver clean water to all Rhode Islanders.” (posted February 4, 2026).

Magaziner also commented on national political dynamics involving Republican strategist Steve Bannon. He wrote: “Steve Bannon knows Republicans are on track to lose the midterms because voters are fed up with an economy that only works for the rich. His solution is to intimidate people out of voting, but he underestimates the will of the American people.” (posted February 4, 2026).

Seth Magaziner has served as a member of Congress since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
