Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account on May 14, 2026, addressing issues ranging from federal spending priorities to education and energy policy.
In one post dated May 14, 2026, Magaziner commented on an exchange with a government official: “I can’t believe I have to explain to the Secretary of the Interior how batteries work. But here we are.”
Later that day, he questioned federal budget allocations with another statement: “Here is an idea. Instead of Trump’s ballroom and monuments, how about we use taxpayer money to help people afford health care?” This comment appears to reference debates over public funding for projects associated with former President Donald Trump.
Magaziner also highlighted legislative efforts related to workforce development in a tweet at 20:28 UTC: “Excited to support the Career-Connected Learning Pathways Act to create a searchable database of career and technical education programs. We must correct the fragmented system to make opportunities more accessible for the workforce of the future.”
Seth Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s representative since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
