Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several key issues in a series of posts on September 23, 2025.
In his first post of the day, Magaziner reported meeting with his advisory group to discuss local energy and environmental priorities. He wrote, “Today I met with my Environment & Energy Advisory Committee to discuss the latest on Revolution Wind, our work to protect environmental protection programs from Trump administration cuts, and to discuss strategy for lowering costs sustainably for consumers.” (September 23, 2025).
Later that afternoon, Magaziner informed constituents about an opportunity for direct assistance from his office. He posted, “Need help with a federal agency? My team is here for you. Join us for community office hours: Maury Loontjens Memorial Library, Narragansett Thursday, Sept. 25, 12–2 PM” (September 23, 2025).
Magaziner also commented on national policy debates regarding health care and trade tariffs. In a third post he stated: “Trump’s health care cuts and chaotic tariffs are creating a crisis, and he won’t even meet with Democratic leaders to negotiate a fix. We need a bipartisan budget that lowers costs. Time to come to the table.” (September 23, 2025).
Seth Magaziner has represented Rhode Island’s 2nd District since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston at age 39, Magaziner is an alumnus of Brown University and Yale University.
