Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address a range of issues including government corruption, public safety funding, and recognition of military service.
On April 11, 2026, Magaziner posted: “Corporations are given a free pass to gouge people because Washington is corrupt. Ban stock trading in Congress. Ban insiders from betting on politics. Get dark money out of elections.”
The following day, he highlighted federal support for local emergency response infrastructure: “With $530,437 of federal funding I secured, Warwick is opening a new Emergency Operations Center to speed up response times & keep more people safe. This new facility replaces a 70-year-old center & will help save lives in times when a few seconds can mean life or death.” The allocation aims to modernize facilities that have been in use for seven decades.
Later on April 12, Magaziner attended an event honoring members of the Rhode Island National Guard: “The Ring of Honor awards recognize the men and women who best represent the core values of the @RINationalGuard. I was honored to attend and pay tribute to those who embody the very best of our state: ‘Always Ready, Always There.'”
Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s 2nd district representative since 2023 after succeeding James Langevin. He was born in Bristol in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University and Yale University.
