Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently engaged with constituents on social media, addressing both policy issues and opportunities for public interaction.
On July 29, 2025, Magaziner invited the public to submit questions via Instagram, stating: “Do you have a question for me? I have answers! Take a look at my Instagram story to submit a question and I will be answering them TOMORROW afternoon. Ask away! https://t.co/Cej2Nmi5SL”
Later that same day, Magaziner posted about a federal court decision regarding Planned Parenthood funding. He wrote: “Excellent news: A federal judge stopped the Trump Admin from cutting off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood clinics. This is a major win for women’s health & for millions who rely on Planned Parenthood for care. This is only the first round, but the rule of law has held. https://t.co/2ztWkWUcv2” The post was accompanied by a separate link: “https://t.co/PUmeiVUz0D”.
Magaziner has served in Congress since 2023, succeeding James Langevin as the representative of Rhode Island’s 2nd district. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner holds degrees from Brown University (BA) and Yale University.
The recent court ruling referenced by Magaziner marks an ongoing legal dispute over Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood clinics during the Trump administration—a topic that has drawn national attention due to its implications for reproductive healthcare access.
