U.S. Congressman Seth Magaziner, representing Rhode Island’s 2nd district, posted a series of updates on April 3, 2026, addressing local business support, opposition to proposed education cuts, and healthcare access in the state.
Magaziner highlighted his participation as keynote speaker at a local business event: “It was a pleasure to join the NK Chamber of Commerce as the keynote speaker at tonight’s Business Excellence Awards. All of us at the federal, state, & local level have a role in making sure businesses can succeed at Quonset, Wickford, Saunderstown, & everywhere in between.” (April 3, 2026)
In another post later that day, Magaziner voiced concern over potential federal budget decisions: “Cuts to education to pay for War with Iran. I will do everything in my power to make sure this never passes.” (April 3, 2026)
He also addressed healthcare access after visiting a Providence clinic: “Everyone deserves access to high-quality, affordable health care when they need it. This week, I visited @OpenDoorHealth_ in Providence to see firsthand how they are delivering essential care to all Rhode Islanders.” (April 3, 2026)
Seth Magaziner has served in Congress since replacing James Langevin in 2023 and represents Rhode Island’s 2nd District. He was born in Bristol in 1983 and currently resides in Cranston. Magaziner is an alumnus of Brown University and Yale University.
