Congressman Seth Magaziner, who represents Rhode Island’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on social media addressing the recent shooting at Brown University.

On December 14, 2025, Magaziner shared a link without additional commentary: https://t.co/36uItW8WwE.

Later that evening, he wrote about the community response to the incident: “Tonight Providence came together in the wake of the tragic Brown University shooting, with sadness and in solidarity, to pray for the victims and draw strength from one another.” (December 15, 2025).

The following day, Magaziner highlighted ongoing needs after the event: “Following the Brown University shooting, @ribloodcenter still needs donations. I went this morning and it was quick, easy and (almost) painless. Schedule a time at: https://t.co/ljA873XuBk https://t.co/msJcrjIju7” (December 15, 2025).

Seth Magaziner has served as Rhode Island’s 2nd district representative since replacing James Langevin in 2023. Born in Bristol in 1983 and currently residing in Cranston, Magaziner is an alumnus of Brown University and Yale University.
