Rhode Island high school hockey championships set for March 18 at Amica Mutual Pavilion

The Rhode Island Interscholastic League (RIIL) and Amica Mutual Pavilion have announced that the 2026 RIIL Girls and Boys Ice Hockey Championships will take place at The AMP on March 18, 2026. Ortho Rhode Island is presenting the event.

Mike Lunney, Executive Director of the RIIL, expressed appreciation for the venue’s support. “We are grateful to Amica Mutual Pavilion General Manager Lawrence Lepore and the staff at the Amica Mutual Pavilion for their support in providing the opportunity to bring our schools and the entire Rhode Island hockey community together in solidarity for this special night at the AMP,” Lunney said.

Daniel McConaghy, Executive Director & CEO of the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority, commented on hosting the championships: “We are incredibly proud to host the RIIL 2026 State Hockey Championship games at the AMP, bringing together the best of Rhode Island high school hockey in one unforgettable celebration of competition, sportsmanship, and community. It’s an honor to welcome teams, families, and fans from across the state and to support the entire Rhode Island hockey community as we showcase the passion and talent that make this sport so special.”

The championship schedule includes three games: Division II Boys Hockey Championship at 4 p.m., Division I Girls Hockey Championship at 6 p.m., and Division I Boys Hockey Championship at 8 p.m.

In addition, those who purchase tickets online by March 16th will receive a voucher redeemable for admission to a Providence Bruins game later in the season. Tickets can be purchased online at https://gofan.co/riil.
